I think I already told you this: The ugliest European cities are still nicer than the nicest U.S. city. Why is that? Our small towns can be nice, but our big cities are ugly. I wouldn't mind seeing Granada Spain to see if my theory holds true there.
Granada probably isn't a good place to test your theory because it's a ridiculously beautiful city. But I think you're right.
